Great location

Location was great! Had perfect weather for December. It was nearly 80 degrees on NYE weekend. View is outstanding and loved being so close to all the shops and restaurants. Nye was pretty tame. We had 4 couples total and while it was a little tight it worked out for a 3 night weekend.Only issues were parking (had to wake up before 8am every morning to run and pay the meter a few blocks away because we only get one parking permit), recycle glass noises early early in the morning and Monday am gardener noises super early. Also. I did somewhat worry about the noise for our underneath neighbors. The sound of our feet going up and down the stairs etc. Would have loved to rent both units. All in all we had a great time and would definitely stay again!
Manager's Response:
Thank you for the glowing review! That picture is priceless! We hope you come to visit Capitola again soon.
Very Enjoyable

The location is great. Being on the second story gave us a great view of the Monterey Bay. Parking is a challenge if you bring more than 1 vehicle because all parking around the rental is 2 hr max. paid parking between 8am-8pm!

There were eight of us all women the accommodations were perfect for us. Great views close to everything. Our only concerns were the wording on the parking, we misread it and get 3 tickets we actually moved our car from an okay parking spot to a restricted one. It would be helpful if it were more clear.
Manager's Response:
Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you had a fabulous time! We are looking into a solution for your parking mishap. We will do our best to make the parking situation more understandable. Thanks again!

Was a great experience!! With the fenced in area for the small children after a day on the beach, you could sit and watch the world go by, and still feel like you were at the beach. But, you could be a little honest on the parking, there is none, for 3 families coming from as far away as Oregon the parking was a nighmare at first. Other than that, was a great, wonderful place. The loft, the kids loved just as much as we parents.
Manager's Response:
Thank you for your review! 116B Esplanade is a wonderful house in a wonderful location. We do provide a parking permit for the rental so you are free to park wherever you can find a spot. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay regardless of the parking troubles.
116B six sisters rental Capitola
Reviewed by Erika on 6/9/2011
loved the location, everything was pretty much as it was in the ad. With one exception... I did not realize that there were only 2 queen Beds, i was under the impression there was 3 queens and only one room with the twin bunk beds. that was dissapointing since we had a newly engaged couple sleep there. and the Beds werent even matresses, they were futons placed on the floor with no frames. kinda chinsy. I also didn't realize there were no stairs to get up there but only a Ladder. that was scary and inconvenient. so if that was explained a little better in the ad i may have thought twice about renting it. Otherwise it was great.
Manager's Response:
Thank you for your helpful review. We understand that the ladder to the loft can be rather difficult for some people to climb. We have since changed our website to include a better description of the ladder.
A perfect familiy gathering

We loved our time at 116B. The loft ladder is not a place for adults but the perfect place for a pair of teenagers! They loved that no one commented on their clothes being picked up or beds needing to be made! The veiw from this unit is spectacular and we enjoyed it every day. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds and a stocked kitchen rounded out a perfect family get together. No one could regret a week spent here.
Manager's Response:
We are so glad you enjoyed your time at 116B in Capitola Village. The loft is indeed ideal for teens and we're glad they enjoyed it. We hope you'll come stay again soon!
A Dream Come True for My 60th Birthday
Reviewed by Yvonne Nichols on 4/14/2011
The view from this unit is breath taking no matter what the weather looks like outside. Capitola is my favorite place to get away for the day. I had always dreamed of staying here. Started this venture off with my sisters for a scrapbooking get away. There was plenty of room for us to bring in two portable tables and spread out and have our own workspace. During our stay I had the opportunity to rent both units on a Sat and had a barbecue in the large fenced front yard for my 60th birthday. God blessed me with perfect weather and having both units allowed me to invite my extended family and friends for the celebration. Parking was a challenge for those without a permit, especially since it was the weekend Capitola had their Capitola Village Revival Day celebration, but it was still worth it. Everyone loved the location and had a great time. Had a couple of maintenance issues that needed to be addressed during our stay, but all in all would I do it again, in a heartbeat!!! (Between the two units, upstairs is my favorite)
Manager's Response:
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Six Sisters beach house!!! We would be thrilled if you came to visit again.
New Years Eve
Reviewed by Katalena on 1/6/2011
We booked this rental on Christmas day for New years eve. We had 4 adults and 2 teens. We loved the bedrooms-the kids had bunk beds and each couple had their own room. The master bedroom had its own bathroom. The fenced in yard was perfect for Bbq'ing and also for a sense of privacy from the pedestrians on the street. The unit has a loft and while it is a great little spot especially for the kids to play games and hang out-the ladder to get up there is frightening. It is straight up! It would be less taunting if it was at some kind of angle. I went up there and had to have someone stay at the bottom of it to help me down. It is really scary. The kids even were intimidated by it.We always made sure someone was at the bottom of it. The kids are older teens even. It is such a lovely little space but, just too hard to come down from without fear of breaking your neck. The living room and dining room combo is spacious-the living room furniture is not very comfortable especially during the time we were there -when it is raining and you have no choice but to stay in the house. We spent alot of time at the dining room table as it was more comfortable there. The overall cleanliness was good. We did find sand on the comforters and in the shower-even though we had not gone to the beach. The loft was very sandy and after seeing the ladder up-I can understand how hard that would be to clean. There were some clothing in the dresser of the kids room left by a previous renter which was a little gross. It was a little expensive-but, it was also during a holiday weekend-which is really not any different from any where else you stay. The view in this unit is amazing and the unit is well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and it is really cozy. I would recommend this to any family as the neighbors in the other units were really friendly and had families too.
Manager's Response:
Thank you so much for the review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay. We try to explain to guests that the stairway to the loft is indeed a vertical ladder fastened to the wall. Often times it is not easily accessible for young children or elderly adults. We hope that this minor issue didn't put a damper on your vacation.Thank you again for your feedback!
Awesome ocean view, even with (or especially with) stormy weathe

Our group of 6 women friends have been staying at the Six Sisters on and off for 35 years. We had stayed in the first level rental many times, but were always curious about the unit above it. This year, the bottom unit wasn't available so we stayed upstairs and were thrilled with the small differences, such as high ceilings, updated floors and carpeting, table more suitable for cards and games, and especially the fabulous view of the ocean and beach, which can't be seen from the unit below. Everything else was nearly identical to the other unit, but one drawback is the loft, which takes much bravery and stability to reach by way of the steep ladder. Except for a brief peek by one of us, we did not venture up there. It is large enough, with two mattresses on the floor and several chairs, for a group of older kids or young adults to enjoy. We would definitely request this unit again.
Manager's Response:
Thank you so much for the great review! We love our repeat visitors and we hope to see you again soon.
Location and weather was beautiful.

My friends and I had a great time and the location of the condo was perfect for a weekend get away. The nights were chilly and the wall heat for the unit was difficult at best to regulate. It was a bit noisy but that was expected. The condo compared to all the other privately owned houses connected to the six sisters was a bit neglected and could use some updating. It was clean and nice, but the loft was unusable for adults and the two mats in the loft should not be considered "beds" for adults and the ladder to get up there is just that... a ladder.
Manager's Response:
Thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay at the famous six sisters. The owners of this property are in the process of updating the house, so if you come stay again you will definitely notice a difference. We understand that the loft is hard to access for some people, and we've been making an effort to inform guests of this in advance. Thank you again for you feedback!

An excellent unit... great location and unbeatable view. The teen ager loved the lawn and the loft. The 10 year old loved the bunk beds. Grandma loved the master bedroom and separate bath. Grandpa was happy to sit in front of the large view windows and watch life go by.Parking permit worked well. The unit was well equipped with extra kitchen ware, soap, paper towels, etc. We had 85 degree weather for five wonderful days.
Manager's Response:
Thank you for your wonderful comments! We hope to see you again soon.
overpriced

The location is good but noisy and there is no parking. We have stayed at larger, more updated homes in Capitola for a more affordable price.
Manager's Response:
Thank you for taking the time to review this property. The location is in the center of an active beach town, across the street from the very popular Capitola Beach. This means that noise and parking are sometimes an issue. While we do provide a parking permit, we understand that parking for extra cars can be difficult at times. We hope you enjoyed your stay regardless of these issues.

Loved the location, the rental agency, the house, and the neighbors. What a great way to spend a long weekend with the extended family. Everyone, from grandparents, parents, teens, and kids enjoyed themselves. My one negative comment is the parking. For the price, I think you should get two parking passes. The parking situation in Capitola is horrible. My parents got a ticket for extended length vechicle (no posted signs) and the meter policemen are quite rude. Guests must pay $20 per night to park each night, as there is no overnight parking in the big lot.

We had a ball in Capitola. The Condo was directly across the street from the main beach in Capitola and near so many fun restaurants and shops. The location was perfect and the condo was really cute. The kids really liked the loft area, too. We had a wonderful vacation and will definitely be a returning customer!
